August 3, 2026 -A Reminder of Faith, Heritage, and Goodness of God

Looking back, I can see that God has been intricately weaving this story together long before I ever noticed the first thread.
Over two decades ago my Aunt Shirley faithfully served as a missionary in Eupatoria, Crimea, on the northern coast of the Black Sea. At the time, she was the only American serving there. I remember being so in awe of her courage to leave everything familiar and serve in a foreign land.
The Christians in the area were spirit filled and on fire for the Lord. Even in difficult circumstances, their joy in Christ and dependence on Him were unmistakable.
While in Crimea, she met a woman from Turkey. Though the woman’s name has been lost to time, her kind face and warm spirit have never been forgotten. She owned a beautiful shawl that had been made in Turkey and given to her by her mother. From what I’ve learned, in many parts of Turkey, treasured shawls were passed from one generation to the next, carrying memories of family, heritage, and belonging.
In 2003, that beautifully woven shawl was gifted to my aunt. She has treasured it ever since, understanding just how meaningful and sacrificial that gift truly was.
In 2024, God brought the word woven to the forefront of my journey.
I serve on the board of a local community of women, and together we sensed the Lord leading us in a new direction. We wanted our focus to be centered on Jesus and on creating opportunities that would bear lasting fruit. Through prayer, conversations, and planning, a new name emerged: Wonderfully Woven.
At the time, I had no idea how often God would continue bringing that word into my life.
Then, in April 2026, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Turkey.
It left a permanent mark on my heart and soul.
My aunt understands this better than most. When you become attached to a place and its people, they stay with you – woven into your very being.
This past weekend, I received the incredible blessing of becoming the next steward of that Turkish shawl.
What a gift.
This beautifully woven shawl is now wonderfully woven into my story. It is more than a piece of fabric. It is a reminder of faith, generosity, heritage, and the beautiful ways God weaves together people, places, and generations long before we can see the finished design.
I will treasure it, just as I treasure Turkey and the people who have forever changed my heart. And when the time comes, I will place it into someone else’s hands so the story—and the legacy it represents—can continue, just as the women before me have done.
August 1, 2026 – Get to Know Stone & Scroll LLC
I’d love to share a little more about me and introduce you to the heart behind Stone & Scroll LLC.
I’m Kim. I love Jesus. My family, both blood and chosen, encourage and give me strength to walk into whatever God calls me to.
I am a full time tech girl. I spend my days focused on how to build customer experience with excellence.
In my spare time, I enjoy teaching God’s word and organizing events that encourage others to seek Him more.
After returning from a trip to Turkey in April, I spent countless early mornings, nights and weekends praying, dreaming, writing, and creating.
The idea for Stone & Scroll LLC came from the hours I spent writingThe Stones Still Speak: Discovering Ancient Turkey – The Seven Churches of Revelation and the hours spent researching how to self-publish a book on Amazon. After a book is written, there is still a lot of work to format, edit, design the cover, and so much more.
The mission grew from that idea as God revealed how he’s been preparing and equipping me. God has nurtured the gifts He has given me for many years. I’m stubborn and sometimes that means I’m slow to obey. Maybe that’s why it took so long. ![]()
Sometimes we take one step of obedience before He reveals the next, and we simply must trust what He’s doing.
Stone & Scroll LLC is more than a business. It’s a mission. It’s about authenticity, truth, and encouraging Christians to use their voice to praise and bring glory to God.
In Luke 19, Jesus was headed up to Jerusalem. As He and His disciples neared the path down to the Mount of Olives, the disciples began joyfully praising God loudly for all of the miracles they had seen. Some of the Pharisees told Jesus to rebuke them. He answered,
“I tell you, if they were to keep silent, the stones would cry out.”
If the stones can cry out to praise God and speak of His goodness, you can too.
